• I had lunch with D, which was fun. We talked about our progress in writing up D stuff, and then the plans for Christmas and New Year. When I said I would get Kimono in Japan this Christmas holiday, he asked me why men wore it. D thought only Japanese women wear Kimono. That is, he did not know that "Kimono" means "clothes" in Japanese rather than a traditional ethnic dress for women. I explained that both men and women can wear Kimono asking him "Do you think samurais were naked?" It was really funny to imagine naked samurais in combat. However, now I think I should have said to him that "Hundoshi" was a traditional ethnic dress for men. Anyway, at least I am not telling a lie,
