• I went to bed with some excitement of getting the latest Harry Potter last night. However, I realised this morning that my laptop could not start up Windows. Later the problem was identified as that the harddrive of my laptop "died" (if I put metaphorically(?!)). I had to replace with a new one, which has now been done. However, the data in my old HDD could not be retrieved. As I did not back-up the data for a while, I lost my latest draft chapters as well as some photos I took in the mean time. Fortunately, many of recent draft chapters are recovered though the e-mails I sent to my supervisor and my potential proofreader.All I need is to recover my last 2-3 days works from my memory.
• Feel devastated at first, but now I identify what I lost and what I recovered. The thing is how long it takes for rewriting the lost part as I am already quite behind the schedule...
