Turkish prime minister announces Chair in Contemporary Turkish Studies at London School of Economics.

• LSEに現代トルコ研究の教授職（？Chairってなんて訳したらいいかしらん）がおかれるそうです。オスマン史ではなく、現代トルコに焦点をあてた社会科学系教授職はヨーロッパ初ともいわれてます。それも、エゲレスの社会科学系では有数のLSEにってのは、やはり政治的な意味合いからいって、興味深いですな。トルコのEU加盟交渉が始まることが大きいのだと思うのですが。
  • ってことで、トルコなSayın Başbakan（総理大臣）である、エルドアンさんは、今ロンドンの空の下、ってことになります。

Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will personally announce a new Chair in Contemporary Turkish Studies, to be based in the European Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

The Chair will be the first of its kind in Europe. Its focus on political economy and contemporary issues is unprecedented in this context. Moreover, no other European university has endowed chairs in the social sciences on both Greece and Turkey. Their location in the LSE's European Institute is a clear signal of the growing importance of the region within Europe.
